Loved all the small details…the pink coiled pipe like a snake with its drooling algae mouth. Domestic life made so vivid.

Lately I've not been able to stay interested in lockdown / Covid stories but here it is used subtly and I enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next part already.

Waiting for the next part. I loved the way you bring the lock down to the attention of the reader, with the phrases scattered through the narrative. Also loved the way Muzaffarnagar is brought it. I think, reading all your stories set there, I'll now have to actually visit the place.

Love that this gives me something to look forward to on Substack <3. Also, I have been reading Diwali in Muzzafarnagar, and I can safely say that this (part of the) story has etched the city deeper into my literary imagination. It's as if the city is the recurring character in your stories, and there is something very comforting about that.
